Diversity in the Arts Documentary Project

The Diversity in the Arts Project was an initiative aimed at exploring diversity and inclusion through interaction with individuals from outside of the United States. I was paired up with Freya Dong from China, and was challenged with using art to tell her travel story. Through a series of interviews, I learned fascinating details about her life in China and how it differed from that of her experience in the United States. I represented this exploration of Freya's culture through a series of square drawing, each representing a moment in time vital to her experience. Additionally, a documentary was made about this initiative, "A Suitcase and a Pen."
